LOVE SLUMP?

DI AKO MAKAGET OVER! Gumulong gulong lang naman ako sa higaan ko 2 nights na. GGGRRRR. Even tin is having this slump. BBADDTRIPP! And it's all because of Aya Nakahara's Lovely Complex.

Lovely Complex (LoveCom) is a love story focusing on Risa Koizumi and Atsushi Otani. Koizumi is 172 cm tall, height taller than a normal Japanese girl while Otani is 156 cm tall, height smaller than a normal Japanese boy. They are classmates althroughout their high school years and they are the school's well-known comedy duo, making people call them "All Hanshin Kyojin" which is derived from the popular comedy duo having similar height difference.

On the first episode, the story presents their everyday quarells, the blossoming of their own love interests, Koizumi with Suzuki and Otani with Chiharu, and then eventually agreed on helping each other out for it. But as their love interests became a couple, both Koizumi and Otani had given up leading to a dare on who's first to have girlfriend/boyfriend despite their height complexities.

As the story goes on, Koizumi's feelings for Otani grew ANNNNDDD, from Koizumi's efforts in expressing her feelings, to giving her best for Otani to see her as a girl, to still giving her best after she was dumped for the first time, and further give her best after she was dumped the second time, leading to 'verbally' giving up, ATE ALMOST ALL OF THE EPISODES! HAHAHA.

Enough for the SPOILERS. :D The story really made me cry... cry to death because of the suuupper funny scenes. DI BA TIN? :P (although I also cried as I saw my efforts as Koizumi's hehehe >:) pero bottomline, kikiligin at sobrang matatawa ka. panalong panalo talaga!





Features:

1. Simple yet super kilig plot. it just revolved on the Labu-Labu thing. And I don't know if this is a strength or a weakness. hahaha. Although the events are predictable, you'll still end up enjoying them. hehe. Tin and I wished for MOOORREEE episodes. :P

2. Comedy Genre. strength to opkors. The chessy and boring labu-labu was light. Walang episode na inde ka tatawa as in. Extreme ultra mega energy ang meron sila everyday + their exagge facial expressions.

3. Kawaii (cute) characters. Risa is cute when she's in "normal" condition (as she's the one who always wear those exagge facial exprs). hahahaha. You'll go for Otani even though he's small! Daisuki waaa. EVEN MAITY-SENSEI! hahaha =D~

4. Use of Kaisai-ben (Kansai dialect). All characters speak using Kansai dialect and I think it adds to the comic nature of the anime. It was emphasized whenever they say 'Arigato' yet I still love 'Nanyate?' ahihihi




Favorites:

1. EPISODE 18. Koizumi's best birthday. With all the fireworks and the most momentous event! super winner!

2. Their class' horror house. iiyak ka na lang sa pinaggagawa ni Koizumi. :D

3. Many to Mention from here. tama na. ;))
