Best Souvenir from Spitz

Souvenir (スーベニア; Suubenia) is the 11th full-length album of Spitz released on January 12, 2005. This album became #1 on Oricon and charted for 36 weeks selling a total of 359,869 units. Banzai~ :P

Souvenir's the first album I appreciated from the band. I liked the way the album presented a taste of rock-pop-folk genres. super winner. Na-amaze ako for the group's capability to go for an adventure in music. ang bangis! at since nahook talaga ako, i'll review each track from the album.

1. Haru no Uta (春の歌; Spring Song)

Excellent for an album starter. Power music kagad. jangly pop to be considered, tamang impact to get an audience. super like ko ung the way they did its ending. instrumental pero nakakawili. parang ayaw nung song na mawala ung listener sa spell nia. galinggggg

2. Arifureta Jinsei (ありふれた人生; An Ordinary Life)

From haru no uta's power pop, arifureta jinsei shifted to mellow country. gusto ko dito ung soaring ng boses ni kusano-san. waaaa walang sabit. grabe malupit talaga sia. @_@

3. Amattare Creature (甘ったれクリーチャー; Sweet Creature)

dahil nakakaloko ung trip nila, HARD ROCK naman mood neto. other reviewers of this album considers amattare creature as the excellent track. bangis ng rock! nakakahook ung drumming ni sakiyama-san. wuhooo. at head banging ung chorus nia asteegg <3

4. Yasashiku Naritai na (優しくなりたいな; I Want to Become Gentle)

wee balik sa slow. inde ko naramdaman ang drums hehehe. pero may kakaiba sa song na to. it seems like kusano-san sung this sa room na matindi mag echo. weird parang ma-echo pero buong buo pa din boses nia. haha di ko maexplain but this one is nice.

5. Nanpula Biyori (ナンプラー日和; Nampula Weather)

this song yells "i'm the band's weirdest and craziest song ever!" hahahha. naiimagine ko scottish folk everytime naririnig ko sia. sobrang pinaglaruan nila ung guitar at mukha talagang nagenjoy sila! ang kulit pero ang galing as in! the best kasi sobrang kakaiba sia sa hundreds of songs nila na narelease before this album. sobrang cool neto. 2 thumbs up!!! 6. Masayume (正夢; Dream That Comes True)

waa pano ba ko magrereact sa song na to... masayume is one of their casual tunes pero it has a catchy melody. nice lyrics din! una ko tong narinig when i saw its PV. kala ko same-ordinary tone pero haha after ng paulit-ulit eh naadik na ko. LSS sia for 3 weeks! grabeee. gustong gusto ko to. *_*

7. Honoho (ほのほ; Flame)

the heat went up...and the flame arose from their instruments! Honoho is this' album the best from my perspective. and 2nd favorite of all spitz songs. walang araw na inde ko to pinakinggan since august last year! the song's very addicting. at inde talaga nakakasawa. heheh eto lang ang song from spitz na pinapakinggan ng utol ko. rawwr talaga. i love sakiyama-san's drumming. sobrang to the highest level ang performance! sana makakita ako ng live neto! winner! 101%. 5 stars!<3<3<3

8. Watari (ワタリ; Cross Over)

another rock from them. the song's interlude is what i like about it. wuhooo. taas ng energy ng song. nakakabuhay ng dugo sa mga times na bored na bored na ko. ^__^

9. Koi no Hajimari (恋のはじまり; Begining of Love)

di ko ulet maexplain. inde sobrang slow, inde maingay pero dinig lahat ng instruments. casual tone pero matino pagkakagawa.

10. Jitensha (自転車; Bicycle)

eto cute as in! domestic-probinsiya ung mood nia. masarap siang pakinggang for relaxation. meron din siang makulit na tunog sa background. ganda weee :D

11. Tatum O'Neal (テイタム・オニール)

maingay yung guitars dito. at gusto ko ung clapping effect. kung anu anu pinagsasama nilang rhythm. inde lang closed sa insturments na ginagamit nila.

12. Ai ni Ikuyo (会いに行くよ; I Will See You)

ang sad! pero ang ganda ng melody. harana mode si kusano-san dito. winner ung slow rhythm nia. :)

13. Misoka (みそか; Last Day of the Month)

yeah! counterpart ng haru no uta! excellent for the album ender! rock pa rin pero ang bangis. naalala ko si tamura-san na nagwawala sa live perfomance nila while playing the bass. cool!!! gustong gusto ko din to waaaaa

Wuhooo! Souvenir was one of the best rock albums of 2005. todo galing nila. sana tuloy nila pagexperiment ng music. at sana dumating na ung kopya ko!:-L tagal ng shipping ng yesasia. rawwrr. hahaha. ayun that's it. next review will be for "Sazanami CD".
